The weather was better than we had been having recently, thankfully, but that didn`t deter the members turning up in their droves to enjoy the night. Look at the green with the snow and ice melting !!!!!

President Jim Somerville, resplendent in the kilt, leading the evening and enjoying every minute of it

Looking at the photo below, Willie Kelly could have competition

The Star of Rabbie Burns

Some general shots of the members through the evening....

Is that the colour green close to your heart there ....Willie ?????

Got a secret you want to tell us?

WAIT...WAIT....WAIT, Jennifer would kill me if my waistcoat wisnae buttoned

Better   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Scott`s decide that they are there for the night and stretch out ....

Look guys... I caught a smile on camera !!!  :-P

A discussion takes place between the singer and the treasurer........Brian gets nervous that he needs to pay !!!

Now for a " Wee story "

Here are some photo`s of our Willie preparing himself mentally prior to singing for the audience..

( He was excellent !!!!  Did a great job ! )

Then after being complimented by the table for doing so well, he decided to crack jokes......

Then he started doing impersonations !!

A great character........Singer, Bugler, Booler, Impersonator.... where does his talent end?

Now another " Wee story "

This one starts with Gordon, Craig and Arthur having a laugh...

Then they decide to test out the oldest question in the world?  Commando? or not

Two photo`s that give you a clue to the answer....  Craig is happy and proud.. ( Just look at how proud his dad is in the photo`s above )

Then you get Gordon who has obviously had a fright !!!

Then the puzzled look of the man who is thinking........

are they all supposed to be like that ? If I had one of those I would wear a kilt too

The Burns Supper January 15th 2010

We had a hugely enjoyable Burns Supper on Friday the 15th of January. This was the penultimate official event for our 125th Year President Jim Somerville, and the event was a huge success due to everyone who attended. Our particular thanks go to the guest speakers, our own Willie Kelly for the songs, the members who did a sterling job organising and working towards making this a night to remember, and most of all.... all who turned up and made it a fitting night for President Jim....

As a small token to help us remember the evening, ( some may find it difficult without photo`s ) I have added some photo`s here for you to enjoy. The quality of the photo`s leaves a lot to be desired ( I am not in Blair`s league for photography :-} ),  but I add in my defence that I was enjoying the night, the company and also John Barleycorn !

Apologies if the photo`s don`t do you justice, but it may give others a wee laugh.....
