The " Bugle 11 "
This edition of the Bugle is dedicated to a couple of emails I received today....... The first one was concerning a past president of the club, who has moved on to bigger and better things......
I got a mail from one of the guys who was chuckling about seeing a photograph in the local Clydebank Post newspaper, and he had associated one of the characters named in the photo with a past president of CBC... He thought we should take a look and if it was a possible match then it would be good to put it in the website... So, needless to say .. I did.
Well the first thing that struck me was that I recognised the teacher in the photo as the guy who taught me Gym for my first year at secondary, before he retired !!!!
Secondly.......... I see a resemblance with the suspected past president....
See if you agree.... I think it is a great look back at some of our memories, and if anyone has any more then please send them in and we will put them in for all to see!

Then the guy who emailed me the information suggested that for a spell during the late 1970`s the past president was across the pond in the US of A

Not so sure about that one though !!!!!
The next development was at the club after the League game against Victoria Park..... As we all sat in the quiet lounge, the music changed to one of the Morris Dancing Anthems of all time, which you hear in the background of this page.....
And enter stage left, Billy Adams doing a very good impression of Billy Elliot, Morris danced across the Lounge to pay homage to Jim...

Jim was in laughing his head off and took it all in great fun clapping and joining in. Then we got a photo which speaks a thousand words...

The look says it all, he knew that he had been stitched up by his pals in the club...
There were lots of members taking photos, so please send them to me and I will see if we can include a better shot of Billy dancing around the place...
Then the second email came in from across the pond stating that the Clydebank Bowling Club jumpers are being worn in Canada, on this occasion by Mr A Yule on the opening of his golf course for the new year.....

The email read ....
"I was wearing my Clydebank Bowling Club Sweater on Sunday (see attached, 2nd from left), at the Opening Day of our Golf Club. Three Scots and one young Canadian.
Andy Yule "
What a wee club eh?
Just like a typical Bankie... Well respected and appreciated wherever we go
